Meet Our Team

Jennifer McCabe Lentz, MD
Podcast: What is Direct Primary Care? Beautiful!
Dr. Lentz graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2001 and completed the Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency in 2004, earning board certification in Family Medicine. After several years serving a rural Washington community, she returned home to Northern Colorado to continue practicing—and eventually opened Direct Family Care of NoCo in 2018 after stepping away from the traditional healthcare system.
Over the years, Dr. Lentz’s approach to medicine has transformed. Rather than waiting for disease to strike, her focus is now on helping patients stay healthy in the first place—and if they’re already sick, she works to reverse disease and reduce or eliminate the need for medications. Her toolkit includes powerful lifestyle strategies: dietary changes, muscle building, sleep optimization, stress management, and hormone balancing. Her goal is simple but profound: to help patients go from “not well” to a long, vibrant health span.
Board certified in Obesity Medicine since 2016, Dr. Lentz has long championed Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) nutrition and Intermittent Fasting (IF) as evidence-based strategies for treating metabolic disorders. Her commitment is personal as well as professional—she and her family live the lifestyle she teaches.
Dr. Lentz’s greatest passion is building true doctor-patient partnerships, working alongside her patients to restore and maintain their health. Practicing in a Direct Primary Care model allows her to offer deeply personalized, unhurried care—free from the barriers and bureaucracy of traditional systems.
In addition to her metabolic health program, Dr. Lentz has expanded her services to include InMode aesthetic technology and hormone optimization, aligning with her mission to help patients look, feel, and be their healthiest—inside and out.

Rylee Hupp, Office Manager
Rylee, a native of Loveland, joined Direct Family Care of NoCo in January 2023. With a background as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), she wanted a career in the medical field but didn’t see herself in a traditional nursing role. She was drawn to her current position because it allows her to build meaningful relationships with patients and work closely with them.
Since joining our team, Rylee has become nationally certified as a phlebotomist and she aspires to attend esthetician school soon to further develop her skills.
In her free time, Rylee enjoys running her own business, reading, spending summer days by the lake, traveling, and going to live music shows.

Katie Sanderson, RN
Katie graduated in 2001 with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Katie loves working at Direct Family Care of NoCO because of “the relationships we establish with our patients and the holistic care we are able to provide them. Our providers are outstanding women who care very deeply about their patients and work hard to provide them with the best care they possibly can”.
Katie lives in Loveland with her Husband and two sons. The boys are active in soccer and marching band. She enjoys working part time, because her family life is full of activities. When they have free time Katie and her family enjoy camping and outdoor fun. She is a valuable part of our practice and we love what she offers our patients in kind and reassuring care.
Todd Lentz, Business Manager
Todd was born and raised in Fort Collins and met Jenn here 19+ years ago. They started a family here, then moved to the Pacific Northwest for a short time. He and his family came back to Colorado (Loveland) and finally back to Fort Collins to stay. Todd did not imagine working in a medical setting those 19 years ago, however would not choose to do anything else. He enjoys meeting new patients and greeting familiar ones. He takes the chance to promote the practice at every opportunity. A path like this rarely comes along and Todd has no regrets serving Direct Family Care of NoCO.
Jenn and Todd have 4 kids and love hanging out with them and watching them grow. They are involved in a myriad of activities which we do our best to support and attend when able. Todd enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and camping with family and friends. Fort Collins is a great place to raise a family and they are all pleased to have roots here.
